Roland Pharma Alumni Association:

Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is armed with a strong alumni association, Roland Pharma Alumni Association (RPAA). Its objective is to foster a synergetic atmosphere to nurture a bond among friends, classmates and alma mater. The association takes pride in providing programmes to keep them thrive and connected.

 Since its inception, RIPS has provided professional education to more than 750 under graduates and more than 100 post graduates. It provides a launching pad for the hopes and aspirations of the people for better growth and better lifestyle. Each and every RIPSIAN carries the vision of Roland Pharma Alumni Association forward with a great vigour and enthusiasm.

            The first Alumni Meet (NOSTALGIA 2004) of Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur was held on 9th November 2004. Here is the brief report:

 

NOSTALGIA 2004

            Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur conducted its first ever alumni meet, NOSTALGIA 2004 on 9th November 2004. About 70 passed out students of the institute attended and made the event successful. Sri Debashish Nayak, Hon’ble Mi8nister of Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of Orissa, inaugurated the daylong programme. He lauded the students, staff and management for their concerted efforts in bringing the institute to limelight. He expressed the hope that Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences would make further progress and achieve many more laurels. He advised the students to work hard and said they should not forget their parents and their Alma mater.

             On the occasion the ‘Alumni Directory’ of RIPS, was released by the Chief Guest, Earlier the minister also inaugurated Alumni Association and Career Counselling Cell of the institution.

             In his welcome address, the principal of the institute and the President of the Alumni, Prof. M.E. Bhanoji Rao underlined the role of the Alumni Association and how to strengthen it. Prof. Y. Madhusudhan Rao in his keynote address suggested farious activities of the Alumni Association and said it can contribute a lot in the form of drugs and excipients for research activities and can also provide funds for various activities. Smt. J. Jayalakshmi and Director, Dr. J. Surya Rao expressed satisfaction over the achievements of the passed out students and offered their support for strengthening of the association. During the post-lunch session, the members of the Alumni interacted with the students and promised to extend all sorts of support and necessary help in getting placements. It was decided to raise ‘Poor Students’ funds. Mr. Subhash Ch. Dinda, a senior member of the association and Mr. S. Sreenivas Patro, Secretary and Mr. Bibhu Prasad Panda, Jt. Secretary of the association voluntarily donated for the fund. Mr. S. Sreenivas Patro, Secretary informed in detail about various activities and future plans of the association.
