Milestone of  RIPS

RIPS has gone from strength to strength in the last two decades. The saga of success has restructured the pharmaceutical educational map of Orissa. There are many milestones. Here is the chronological order:

  • 1986       Establishment of RIPS at Gandhinagar - introduction of   D. Pharm.

  • 1992       Introduction of B. Pharm. with  40 intake 

  • 1992       Foundation stone laying of institute-building at Khodasingi.

  • 1993      First visit of AICTE team

  • 1995      PCI Zonal Workshop on ER’91 held at RIPS

  • 1996       Enhancement of B. Pharm intake to 60

  • 1997      Inauguration of the institute-building by the former Prime Minister of India
             Sri P. V.    Narasimha Rao, Sri J.B. Patnaik, C.M. Orissa State and
             Prof. M.Q. Khan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Berhampur University.

  • 1999      First AICTE-ISTE  sponsored short term training programme (STTP)  organized at
             RIPS.

  • 2000     Introduction of M. Pharm. programme in Pharmaceutics. RIPS becomes
            first pharmacy institute in the state of orissa  to start M Pharm. approved
            by AICTE.

  • 2000     Second AICTE-ISTE sponsored STTP held at  RIPS

  • 2001    WHO  sponsored  PCI work shop for  Working pharmacists.

  • 2002     Introduction of M. Pharm (Pharma Analysis &   Quality Assurance)

  • 2004     Introduction of M. Pharm  ( Pharmacology )

  • 2004     First Alumni meet of RIPS “Nostalgia 2004” was conducted

  • 2007     Introduction of M. Pharm ( Pharmaceutical Chemistry)

  • 2007    AICTE sponsored national seminar on “Trends in Innovative Drug Delivery
           Systems” held at RIPS

  • 2008    3rd IPA-APTI state level convention held at RIPS
